Wall Street Is Migrating to a New Continent Called Ethereum — ETHConf 2026 New York

This report draws on first-hand observations from ETHConf 2026 New York, held this past June, to examine how Wall Street's capital, assets, regulation, and infrastructure are migrating onto Ethereum all at once, and to ask what Korea must prepare for at this inflection point.ETHConf is the first conference by ETHGlobal, the operator behind Ethereum's developer events, to place Wall Street and policymakers front and center. The sight of suited decision-makers from the SEC, a former CFTC chair, DTCC, and the NYSE taking the stage before an audience of hoodie-clad developers made one thing clear: Ethereum's purpose is ultimately converging on finance. Regulation is clearing the path by shifting from litigation to rulemaking. On that foundation, stocks, ETFs, and Treasuries are being tokenized at the issuance and settlement layers, capital is relocating to cheaper on-chain funding sources, and the infrastructure underpinning it all is converging on Ethereum. This report distills the eight most striking sessions from the event into five key messages.
